Understanding the latest advances in artificial intelligence may seem daunting, but not for Eddie Deleu! Eddie did research this summer using deep learning to monitor pedestrian traffic in NYC. Deep learning goes beyond machine learning by structuring algorithms in layers to create an artificial neural network that can learn and make intelligent decisions on its own. Eddie published his research and MIT is intrigued. Eddie has been invited to present his paper at MIT in October at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Undergraduate Research Technology Conference. When you see Eddie, be sure to congratulate him on his extraordinary achievement.

Families for Families
11/20/2020
Ramapo Student Government and Guidance joined together to organize a school-wide act of service in support of Wyckoff-based charity, Families for Families . Families for Families is a service organization initially created by the Madley Family (Ramapo Grads: Rachel '12, Savannah '14, Jess '18 & Erica '20) and supported by other Wyckoff Families to help meet the needs of those most vulnerable among us: homeless and food insecure families. Families for Families hosts a Warming the Homeless event on Thanksgiving that allows the homeless at the Hilltop Haven Shelter in Paterson to pick up critical items for the winter. Student Government and Guidance hoped to supplement the donations this year and collected at school during the week of November 9th. The generosity of the RHS community led to over $600 cash donations used to purchase products to distribute. Coats, hats/ gloves/ scarves, winter clothing, bedding, and towels have also been organized to donate. Thank you to those within the RHS community that donated. Your generosity has made the difference for those in need.
