Junior and Sophomore University Program Engineering and Design students Visit Stryker
Junior and Sophomore University Program Engineering and Design students
at Ramapo High School recently traveled to Stryker Orthopaedics in
Mahwah, NJ for a day of learning and sharing with Stryker engineers.
Stryker’s young engineers discussed their work responsibilities,
engineering education and career paths to Stryker. UPED students had
researched the emerging importance of 3D printing in nine different
medical areas by working together in cross-grade teams. They shared
their research and product outlooks with the Stryker engineering team,
who provided insightful perspectives and feedback. The program was
co-developed by UPED teacher Bob Wilson and Joe Racanelli, Sr. Director
Orthopaedics Biomechanics and Device Evaluation at Stryker. Also
coordinating the program at Ramapo High School were UPED teacher John
Crouch and Lisa Martone, Supervisor of the UPED program.
