3rd Annual Cardboard ChallengeRamapo UP Engineering & Design students hosted the 3rd annual Cardboard Challenge on February 4th. FLOW students of all ages transformed mounds of cardboard and recycled materials into an amazing array of projects from dragons to battleships to robots. Participants also played with the arcade games designed and built by engineering students and viewed the cardboard sculptures created by Ramapo art students. From these inspirations, children engaged in creative play, a chance to explore their imaginations, and practice design thinking. Why do engineering students work all year to plan this event? They value creativity as a skill and take initiative to nurture and encourage children’s curiosity and interest to be creative thinkers and doers. Kudos to our UP Engineering & Design students… the new generation of innovators and problem solvers who have the desire and tools they need to build the world they imagine.

Special congratulations to seniors AJ Ferrara and Alex Munao, co-founders of the Cardboard Challenge, and to Brandon Mooney for taking on leadership for CC 2018.
